The Youth Red Cross (YRC) Unit of the college is a part of the Indian Red Cross Society, West Bengal State Branch ( District -North 24 Parganas). We are the pioneer in introducing the first Youth Red Cross Unit among all the colleges in West Bengal. The Unit will provide training sessions on First Aid, Basic Life Support methodology, and Disaster Management and VCA analysis for the students of the college during December/January every year. Its objective is to conduct awareness programmes on different health related issues (Dengue and Malaria prevention), issues related to environment (substance abuse, Tree plantation etc) and Voluntary blood donation. It organizes free health check-up camps for BPL girl students as well as backward students throughout the year. It observes different important days like World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, World Humanitarian Day, World Diabetes Day etc by arranging free health check-up and awareness programmes. It intends to organise different workshops about YABC - Youth Agent as Behavioural Change, to promote the values of non-violence and peace during the session.
