Internal Complaints Committee
(ICC) of Mrinalini Datta Mahavidyapith is constituted in accordance with UGC
Notification (Prevention, prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment of
women employees and students in higher educational institutions Regulations,
2015) in the year 2016. Our college diligently works to provide a safe
environment for all Faculties, staff and students and has a no tolerance policy
against any instance of discrimination and sexual harassment.
According to Sexual Harassment
of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Harassment and Redressal) Act 2013,
"sexual harassment" includes any one or more of the following
unwelcome acts or behaviours (whether directly or implied)

Physical contact
and advances
·
A demand or
request for sexual favours
·
Sexually coloured
remarks
·
Showing
pornography
·
Any other
unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature
Further, the following
circumstances (among other circumstances) if it occurs or is present in
relation to or connected with, any act or behaviour of sexual harassment may
amount to sexual harassment:-

Implied or
explicit promise of preferential treatment in her employment, or
·
Implied or
explicit threat of detrimental treatment in her employment; or
·
Implied or
explicit threat about her present or future employment status; or
·
Interference with
her work or creating an intimidating or offensive or hostile work environment
for her, or
·
Humiliating
treatment likely to affect her health or safety.
How to file a complaint (Women staff and
students):
·
Complaints can be
directly filed to the Principal or any of the ICC members. The individual email
id of each member is given below.
·
Complaint can be
sent through email. Dedicated email id: icc.mdmbirati@gmail.com
·
Grievances can be
submitted in the ICC portal of our College Website too.
·
The identity of
the complainant will be kept CONFIDENTIAL.
